Lynda Morris Parham, Ph.D.

Dr. Lynda is a licensed psychologist, educator, and ordanied minister who has provided clinical services, teaching and training to youth, families, organizations and churches for over thirty years.  She has held leadership positions in world-class educational institutions including boarding schools, colleges, universities and menatl health training facilities. Dr. Lynda has worked with underserved, well-endowed, national and international students to foster a strong sense of community and empower them to be active participants in their academic and personal journeys.  She has been committed to educating disenfranchised individuals, to destigmatize mental health and to promote healthy self-care habits.  She has been passionate about living and working in multicultural communities and supporting first generation students.

Dr. Lynda received her clinical training at Yale University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry, Philadelphia Child Guidance Center of Children's Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Danielsen Institute of Boston University. She earned a Doctorate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, a Masters of Education from East Tennessee State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Tufts University.

Dr. Lynda's early life and education in Philadelphia at Springside School provided her with leadership experiences, multicultural exchanges, academic creativity, appreciation for athletic and environmental activities all of which have all been foundational in shaping her personally and professionally.  She presently resides in Durham, North Carolina with her husband.  When she is not working she enjoys gardening, golf, tennis, swimming, listening to jazz and spending time with family and friends.
